I’ve been attempting to learn how to tablet weave, and I just can’t do it. Every time I give it another go all that has resulted is a lot of wasted thread (and the occasional tantrum). 

After my first attempt, I realised the importance of using perfectly square cards so that they didn’t over balance on one side and cause the warp to sway. 

So, thinking my second attempt would be much more profitable having cut my cards to the right dimensions, I was disappointed to find I still couldn’t work it out. 

While I understand the 4 shed weave, I cannot work out how to weave the edges, and every attempt has ended up with bubbled or uneven edging.

Although I will not give up as I really love the patterns this type of weaving can produce, I have had to take a step back and return to some classic inkle weaving.
